Frequently asked questions
What you should know before measuring AI recommendations.
Clear answers about what RankMeasure measures, what the scores mean, what you receive and what the product does — and does not — promise.
About RankMeasure
What the product measures and how to think about it.
RankMeasure is an AI Recommendation Intelligence service. It measures how often AI assistants recommend a business when buyers ask high-intent questions, shows which competitors are being recommended, and identifies the priorities that deserve attention first.
No. Traditional SEO tools track positions in search results. RankMeasure measures recommendation presence inside generated AI answers from ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Perplexity.
No. AI answers are dynamic and no third party can guarantee a future recommendation. RankMeasure measures sampled answer runs, explains the observed gaps and gives you prioritized actions. Any implementation should be evaluated through subsequent measurement rather than treated as a guaranteed outcome.
The initial validation is UK-focused. The current benchmark and outreach process are built around UK business categories and buyer questions.
Free Snapshot
The initial directional check.
The Free Snapshot uses approximately 6–8 prompts across four AI engines and provides an Initial Signal, top competitor visibility, one sampled AI answer and a directional indication of what deserves attention.
Because the free snapshot uses a smaller sample than the full benchmark. RankMeasure deliberately does not present it as the same score as the full AI Recommendation Score.
Not necessarily. During the initial validation phase, requests may be prepared through the same controlled processing queue used for outreach prospects. You are notified by email when the snapshot is ready.
No. The Free Snapshot does not require a credit card.
Founding Benchmark
The full one-time analysis.
It includes approximately 20–25 weighted buyer prompts, four AI engines, repeated sampling on important prompts, AI Recommendation Score, Money Prompt Share, Confidence, competitor analysis, citations/evidence, five prioritized actions, and both an online report and PDF.
The Founding Benchmark is delivered within 72 hours and is verified by the RankMeasure team before delivery.
No. The Founding Benchmark is a one-time purchase. Monitor is the separate recurring product.
Yes. See the sample report. All values on that page are explicitly marked as sample data.
Monitor
Recurring measurement after the initial benchmark.
Monitor re-scans a fixed set of approximately 15–20 prompts each month so you can track recommendation visibility, competitor movement and history over time.
The planned price is £99/month or £990/year. The Benchmark receives a 50% credit in the first monthly billing period under the planned launch offer.
Monitor is designed to follow the benchmark phase because it needs a stable prompt set and baseline for meaningful comparison.
Scores & methodology
How we deal with variable AI answers.
Generative AI systems do not return a fixed search-results page. Answers can vary between runs and over time. RankMeasure addresses this by sampling answers, documenting the prompt conditions and showing confidence separately.
It is a 0–100 benchmark score derived from graduated recommendation presence, buyer-intent weighting and engine results. Repeated samples use the median result. See the full methodology for the scoring scale.
Money Prompt Share looks only at prompts with an intent weight of 0.7 or higher. It shows how often your business is visible on the questions most closely associated with buyer choice.
Confidence reflects consistency across sampled runs: High at 80% or more, Medium at 50–79%, and Low below 50%.
Implementation support
If you know what to fix but do not want to execute it internally.
Potentially, yes. Implementation support is an optional, separately scoped service for teams that do not have the required capacity or skills. It is not included in the Benchmark or Monitor.
There is no fixed implementation price because scope depends on the priorities, website, technical environment and internal team. You can use the implementation call form to request a discussion and receive a custom scope.
No. Implementation can address measured gaps, but it cannot guarantee how an AI assistant will answer a future question. The correct way to evaluate changes is to re-measure recommendation visibility after meaningful implementation.
Data & privacy
What is stored during measurement.
The measurement record may include scan date, location, language, engine, exact prompt, raw answer, citations, extracted competitors, prompt-pack version and scoring-rule version. This audit trail supports repeatable interpretation.
No such practice is part of the RankMeasure product specification. The site's production privacy policy should be read for the final operational terms before purchase.
The production site will provide dedicated Privacy Policy, Terms of Service and Support pages. RankMeasure is operated by Nestake LLC.
